There are aspects of spiritual growth that someone who trusts in Yeshua and is faithful to Yeshua experiences with other believers. When one becomes a child of the most high through faith and repentance, HE adds him to HIS assembly.
BASICS ABOUT THE CHURCH / ASSEMBLY
ORIGIN OF THE CHURCH
a. Yeshua is the builder - Matt.16:18 on this rock I will build My assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against her. (Hebraic roots bible)
The rock is the confession Simeon the son of Jona made before.
Matthew 16:16b ... " You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Any other claim that the church could be build upon the flesh and blood of a man like Simeon Bar Jona is pure heresy and satanic, like a few verses later shown. Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Kipa (Peter), You get behind me, Satan! You are an offence to me, for your opinion is not of the things that are Gods, but those that are of men.
Kipa (Peter) remained in Israel because he was extraordinaryly good in telling the Gospel to the Jews. He was buried in Jerusalem on the mount of Olives where Franziskan monks found his grave and also the Scriptures tell us plainly that Kipa (Peter) was the Apostle of the circumcision meaning of the Israelites.
[KJV] Galatians 2:7+8 Rabbi Sha'ul (Paul) talking But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles: The word "circumcision" is used for Jews and uncircumcision for Gentiles. This was normal speech in Israel in Yeshuas time. The main thing is that we are build opon a God revealed life and relationship rather than a man made religion
b. The first 12 who where also called Shelichim (Apostles) and Talmudio (Learners or disciples)
Nowadays we know their names and a bit of their pronaunciation. The cut from a manuscript below is from a time where it was forbidden to know the bible. Jews still had the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the Brit Hadasha (New Testament) in unchanged form. Meanwhile adding and subtrackting to the holy Bible was normal for the mainstream theoloy. In this way they created a bitter God with the only and unsafe entry to his eternity through the Roman church only. Still some millions of years purification in the fire of the "purgatory" (taken from old pagan religion) was added. Who disagreed because of knowing something from the bible was silenced for ever.
Also several old manuscripts in a new database at the Bar Ilan University confirm these.

Translation And when he had called unto him his twelve Talmidio (Disciples),

Now the names of the twelve Shelichim (Apostles) are these;
The first, Simeon, who is called Kipha (Peter), and Andriah (Andrew) his brother; Philipus (Philip),
and Bartolomaeo (Bartolomaeus);
Yakob (James) the son of Zeb'dee, and Jochanan (John) his brother;
Tomaso,
and Matthaeo (Matthew) the publican;
Yakob (James) the son of Alfi (Alphaeus), and Thaddaeo (Thaddaeus);
Shimon the Cana'ai (Canaanite), and Yehuda (Judas) Iskariot, who also betrayed him.
We are build up on their fondation as an assembly that will be in heaven. Their journeys were long and some are buried in far countries
c. The believers are sealed and carry HIS name.
In Hebrew names have a meaning Yehova comes out of the root Who will be, who is and who was.
The name of Yeshua is the opposite way matching the father. It comes from Yehova Yoshia which means Yehova will save and it's rood is: He who was, who is and who will be.
There is power in the name of Yehova and there is power in the name of Yeshua. Miracles have taken place from the time after Yeshua went to heaven in both names. It is a sin not to use HIS name as it is a sin to use HIS name for nonsence.
Matthew 12:21 And in HIS name shall the Gentiles trust.
This prophecy is only fulfilled in Yeshua!
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray you: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
How will you hallow HIS name if you don't know it and if you don't use it.
John 17:26 And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare: that the love with that you has loved me may be in them, and I in them.
The Big Religious leader makes always Gods name to be forgotten. It was therefore urgent that Yeshua declared the Fathers name again. And it is necassary to bring it back again because in the year 90 C.E. a concil of the Jews was forbidding to use the name Yehova and also the Roman church is doing that. Compare also page 4
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom you also, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
That happens right when you are born out of the word of God, when you were sorry for all your wrongdoing and decided to change your life and put it under the rulership of Yeshua the King of Eternity.
Matthew 10:22 And you shall be hated of all for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
d. He died for it, and bought it - 1Peter 1:18,19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of the Messiah, a lamb without blemish or defect.
e. The Messiah is the chief cornerstone - Eph 2:20 Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with the Messiah Yeshua himself as the chief cornerstone.
f. the Messiah is the Head - EPH 4:15 Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, the Messiah.
Summary: The church is a divine construction, whose builder is God!
MEANING OF THE WORD CHURCH / ASSEMBLY
a. From the Hebrew word 'מִקְּהַל' mikehal (in OT used in Ezra 10:8, Ps 26:12, Ps 68:27) - means congregation, assembly or choir "the called out and called unto". In the New Testament it refers to people who are called out from sin and called unto God.
b. English word derived from root word which means 'that which belongs to God'.
THE CHURCH CONCEPT: A BODY, PEOPLE - NOT A PLACE, NOT A BUILDING
The verses below tell us that that all who accepted the message were added to the body of believers - not to an organization nor to a building
A body with many parts, each part functional, and all parts relating to one another.
Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
Acts 5:14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed
in יְהֹוָה YEHOVA and were added to their number.
Reading the Gospel of Matthew gives you an idea about the translation of "the LORD"
The church as a body means the church is people in relationship to
God and to one another.
Eph 4:15-16 ... we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, the Messiah. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH MODEL
The Biblical church life involves the gathering of the believers in two manners:
1. IN SMALL GROUPS
2. AS A CONGREGATION CELEBRATING IN A GATHERING
Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts
Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Yeshua is the Messiah.
Acts 20:20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. And as you see the teachers should do this.
